"Kolkata to get Water Metro connectivity," says Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari
A tragic accident occurred at Barh Railway Station where a man lost his life after being struck by a speeding Vande Bharat Express. The incident reportedly took place when the man leaned towards the railway track to spit tobacco while standing on the platform.
According to reports, the train was passing through the station at high speed when the man moved dangerously close to the edge of the platform. In the brief moment he leaned forward, the fast-moving train hit him, leaving him with no chance to move away from the track.
The entire incident was captured on CCTV cameras installed at the station. The footage shows the man approaching the platform edge before the train rushes past, leading to the fatal accident. The visuals have since circulated widely, drawing attention to the risks of standing too close to railway tracks.
The incident has once again highlighted the importance of following safety norms at railway stations. Authorities regularly advise passengers to remain behind safety lines on platforms and avoid leaning toward the tracks, especially when trains are passing through at high speed.
